Congratulations! Lailani!

Lailani C. Montila was recently featured in this blog last week, being one of our Alumni who tried to take the College Entrance Test at Mindanao State University. Luckily, she made it. Her score was 62/180 but accepted as conditional student. She has to take the English and Math introductory course to improve her status before she will be allowed to take the Bachelors Degree she wish too. With just a few steps, she will be on top of her dreams.

The said University accommodates able and interested student free tuition, and this is chance for the falling economy of ours. The school management, the faculty and staffs as were as the students Congratulated her for the job well done.

Lailani, 2008 Graduates, Class Salutaturian...Congratulations!

Lailani, 2008 alumni

Our 2008 alumni, Lailani C. Montila. took the College Entrance Test at Mindanao State University after her failure of Admission in the first semester of this academic year.

She previously enrolled in one of the private school of this locality, however she complained on the high tuition fee and the kind of its administration. She has to commute daily and sad to say that when she arrived at school the Instructors were out for some important priorities.

Now she wish to sit under the banner of this prestigious University. We wish her the best luck of for her noble intention.

Meet the Beautifuls in their Junior and Senior Prom-2007

The lady in red Ms Alma Mater, Sittie Naida Barapantao, in a Korean-look alike, Laialani C. Montila. crowned as Ms Junior, another girl in pink, Ms. Faith read her speech to this affair, one girl in blue gown shine near their Junior and Senior giant cake. Another in blue gown seems not ready read her speech too.

They almost lost their chances as the school principal was carried by her emotion and sent them out. As the Junior and Senior enter the room, the principal lost her temper, when she discover that they are wearing their hijab. What an insult for these purely Maranaw-Muslim girls who put away their hijab just for this night.

It was so annoying, until the Guest Speaker negotiate to allow them, but must not do the same mistake. The junior and Senior Promenade is not an affair to hide each of our identities, rather to protect our values. This is the the common mistakes of High School girls. The Junior and Senior is a Traditional in nature, and they are not required to put away their values as Muslims.

The crowd thanks the gust speaker, but the school principal did not have a single view with the girls. She attended the part I of the program but she to refused to be in the Seniors Night. The seniors' night is the night of the seniors, for them to refresh and enjoy.

To motivate girls at this age, they must know where they belong and keep their values above all. I hope every Maranaw National High School keep this simple reminder.

Intramural is for the students discover themselves other than their academic performances. The school missed nothing from this affair. We extracted every extra talents of the students to expose them and developing them self confidence. some students were too shy int he classrooms but during this affair, we can see them throwing all what they can for their groups.
The entire school population were divided into groups regardless of year and sections. Each group will have their own coach that will trained and help the for the competitions. After a three days of competitions on games and other major games, each group will provide candidates for the Mr. and Ms. Intramural. Each group will dressed their candidate according to the required fashion during the fashion show.
It was really fond to judge the students who used to cheers and and dance, then take the stage challenge for the formal show. The selection will require the school management to invite well-known person exposed on the related affair to minimized prejudices and biases during the show. Each participants need not spend much amount since the school management do not require them for any cash contributions. Memorable visits of my Alumni Students

We are a "Big Happy Family"

My Alumni is always welcome at school and at home. We consider ourselves one big family.

2007 batch of graduates was our first batch graduates at school. Most of them came to visit me especially on every school affair. At the start of the school year, they visited to help on our "school Maintenance week". Being the fist batch, they have unique attitudes towards us

The top picture is taken during our 2008 graduation, which they became our guest in the Citizen Army Training Course , the mid picture and the upper top were on our Baccalaureate's Day which they tackled on the technicalities of sound system and the last was on our seniors ball with the 2008 graduates.

For the rest our Alumni, you are also welcome to see us in school and the like.

Raslani C. Montila, a "karate Kid" look alike was our class Salutatorian winked his eyes when he become our School leadership of the graduates batch 2007. Cocon as we fondly called him aquire a higher score among this batch and made Raima Macadatar to cry. Raima expected to be on the place but she was blocked by her lack of school residence. She transferred to our school in her Junior year, giving Cocon a change to hold his loyaly Award as weapon to combat Raima. The school principal has called an emergency meeting with the parents of the Roosters and deliberate the top students with the presence of parents and the affected students. The Baccalaureate and the Graduation exercise goes smoothly after Raima has accepted as 5th placer instead of what she was insisting for.

Another on this photos is Nasarol Domara. He is a transferee to this school too. Since the author is their teacher in Geometry, she discover the inefficiency of this student. One factor for this was his behavior towards class participation as a result of his absences. He sometimes missed major exams. Since the only elements to learn more in Mathematics is class participation, the academic status of this students lowered. To the surprise of his classmates, he confessed that his problems was cause by financial incapacity. This happened especially on rainy seasons. He has to wait for his dumped uniform to got dry. In connection to this, the school principal has decided to adopt him and stay with his children's quarter. To date, the said student was enrolled in private school since he was not able to make it in the nearest University...the Mindanao State University. His monthly allowance as par time assistant to the internet cafe' of the author serve as his tuition fee. This will prove that if a student will show interest i school, everything could be made possible
Another on these photos is Hanifah M. Mamao. She is an orphan who stay together with his Grandmother. Just month after the death of her mother, his father marry their distant relative. Together with her three brothers and three sisters, they earned a living for their schooling. Though their father account them for his monthly income, but it is not enough to sustained a crowd of seven. Her brother who was our freshman student in 2005 stop schooling and serve as helper for a jeepny passengers to augment the needs of Hanifah who is a senior student at that time. Hanifah was not able to pursue in college because of financial reason.
On these photos were Jalani L. Diaocor. He almost lost his chance in graduation when his family got problem. They were displace and lost their family business.

Komayni Acmad, was one of our out of school reformist. We accommodate as sophomore and combat for college besides his academic incapacity. However, he believed in Zeno's Paradox and so he tried.

Jalil Casan was one of our most gutsy student. He is one of our service awardee students. He stayed with us for every shool activities.

Ibrahim C. Managgao, Jr. was a transferee student from Cebu. A service Awardee student

Acaina Batua, the most controversial figure in school. He is neither she nor he.

Nasreen Mama, Our class Valedictorian, raised by his Grandma because his parents separated when his mother was pregnant. Bu he was able to make it.

Rasmia Matanog, another transferee who suffer as her parents decided to separate and they left abandoned by both parents.

Hasmen Mamundug was one of our lucky students, though she stayed far away from school. She has to walked 4 kilometers before reaching school.

Saida Omar, lakambini candidate, whose father was selected as parents of the Year, 2007.

S. Naidah Barapanato, our Lakambini 2005 and ist Hon. mention awardee.

Guest who are on the photos

Noralden Dimacuta, Komayni Acmad, Normida Solayman, Analiza Zaman. These graduates never try to enroll in college. Analiza marry after her graduation with one child to date, and Normida Solaiman married month before this post. Noralden Dimacuta is our regular visitor at school. This is one of the problem in our locality, early marriage that never give chance for education...A very frustrating image for education.

The junior students that I'm handling for Geometry. They are my inspiration for teaching, for they are eager to learn though I seem strict to them.

I shall live a happy life

I'll be happy to watch this garden that owns all my struggles in my carrier. As this plants, my dream will be realize. One of my dream is for education.
